Spectra (non-Astro) control head help...

Post by k5rpd »

I posted this over on RadioReference and got some good information in a reply...
http://www.radioreference.com/forums/sh ... hp?t=62159

I am looking for a component layout for the HLN6075D (Spectra A5 control head).
Anyone have this and be willing to post, PM, or email a hi-res image?

Thanks,
JJ

You can try adding the JU07 jumper and see if it will power up.

The Q051 still needs to work to power up the radio.

The parts that are showing damage in the photo are used
to power up the radio from the ignition input. There is a
chance that U004 has been damaged on pin 42. This pin
is used to sense the ignition input to the radio.

I have to admit- I have not dealt with surface mount devices very much So this is new to me. I am trying to figure out which component is which, that's why I am looking for the component layout for the board.
I cleaned the damaged area of the board and it looked like there is a trace burned in two. So I may just try to find a used A5 head to replace it instead of repair...

Thanks,
JJ
