Getting MDC1200 Flash...

Post by gatekeep »

Out of general curiosity, how difficult and/or pricey is it to get Q181 Add StatAlert for a MTS2000? And who can do the flash (i.e., an MSS or *only* Motorola)? .. And actually is it EVEN possible to get Motorola to flash one radio??

I'd really rather not send my MTS to Mexirola...

if you have a firmware of less than 5.41 you can do it with lab, if you have it, you just need an s-record of a radio with an MDC-1200 flash.

or you could have the MSS order the flash upgrade for you, not sure on the cost.

I believe this is how it works

Yea no, this is a newer series radio with R6.10 for firmware. Which is why I was inquiring into how to go about getting flash.
