Moto CDM 1250

Post by dbfd588 »

Cdm1250 will TX only on certain channels. Mainly channels that are simplex. Wont hit repeators. Im not sure if its not sending PL or if its staying on the RX frequency and not changing to the TX frequency. Any ideas?

Is there a repeater/direct button programmed? If so, try tapping that.

Could also be low output power, if they're testing it with a portable or nearby mobile a little bit of power will work radio to radio simplex, but not hit the repeaters.

I dont do that stuff. Its a friend of mine that has the prolem. I kinda think that the TX power is low. What would cause that? Something blown or what?

Could be something blown, or the antenna could be bad, or even the antenna connector might have come loose... best way to tell what's really going on is to check it with a watt meter, if the power out and the antenna check okay then you'd have to look at the programming to make sure the freqs and PLs are correct.
