Spectra VHF MDC Decode

I have a VHF Spectra with an A4 head. It has the call button. I wanna have it programmed to decode MDC1200 and be able to use the selective calling feature. What feature needs to be enabled when I take it to get it programmed? I need to know what to tell the radio shop what to enable.

Are you looking to have it decode PTT ID?

You cannot decode MDC ID on a analog spectra. You can so on a Astro Spectra though, provided that it is flashed for the appropiate options (I think it's Digital ID).

On analog spectra you can do MDC CALL or PAGE. But all it shows is just "CALL" or "PAGE" when it receives one, no ID of the originating call.

Ok. If I have it programmed to do calling how do I select the ID that Im calling? What is this called?
