saber convertacom banding

Post by ke4zdg »

When I see saber converacoms for sale on ebay, they never specify the band. Is there a model number scheme for VHF, UHF and 800 MHz, or do they do all bands (which is what I gathered from ebay listings)?

saber converta com... AKA SVA are not band specific. If you use an RF amp with them the amp is. But you cant use a Astro with a standard saber so im told

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware that they didn't have RF amps in them. Now I know.
