GM300 - Won't fully read....

Post by kingpin »

I'm trying to read a GM300 and it gets about 20% though and I get an error to check the serial bus? The radio is locked from changing channels until I cycle the power. I changed batteries in my RIB and it works fine with other radio models (saber/spectra)

Any ideas?

The most common reason for a failure part way through a read is a computer that is too fast for that particular radio and RSS.

I'm using a 75 MHz 486DL laptop. I've done several of these already but this is the 1st one I've had a problem with. I'll tray the program and see if that works.

Also, any ideas why I can't hear anything on the external speaker? I heard there is a plug with jumpers that goes on the back but it's not there. Is there something internal that can be done?

Thanks everyone for your helo

With a couple of possibilities eliminated it's sounding like your getting an interruption in the data stream. First place I would look is the mic. connector, contacts could be dirty or bent a bit causing an intermittent.
I see those rear accessory jumpers on EBay regularly or you could always jump the 2 pins. Believe the pinout of the connector is on the main BatLabs site.
