HELP - Quantar CTCSS Reverse busrt with Different Mobiles

Post by Vercomm »

Hey Guys,

I am going to be programing a system right away and they currently have in their fleet, CDM1250's, SM50's, ICOM F121's, TAIT T2000's, & Standard GX1510's.

My question is regarding CTCSS and reverse burst signalling. I want everything to match up so we have a nice quiet system. I have spoken to TAIT and ICOM and they both use 180 phase shift. The time limit can be programmed for the ICOM's but I'm waiting to hear back on the set time limit of the TAIT's. I will also program the CDM's for non-standard reverse burst signalling to match the 180 degree phase shift. I'm not to worried about the SM50's or the GX1510 as they don't have many of these.

Do I need to do anything different with the programming of the Motorola Quantar repeaters I'm using or is the CTCSS reverse burst all done with the mobiles? I just want the system to be nice an quiet when a mobile dekeys and when the repeater dekeys.

I'm to start programming the mobiles this Thursday(march 29) so any quick help, tips or insights would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jamie
