System Saber can't do PL 118.8Hz??
I am programming my UHF SS3 with RSS ver 4.00.02 and the RSS won't allow entry of PL tone 118.8Hz (which is a standard tone), even toggling through the tones, it skips right over it...is this an omission in this version of RSS or something else? all my other Moto's take this tone as a standard tone just fine (including the regular Saber). Ideas anyone?

118.8 PL tone...
Did you try entering the tone as a number and letter rather
than as 118.8? Just a thought.

yep, and it just kicks it out like 118.8 isn't a valid PL tone...weird, I am gonna try opening a c/p from another systems saber to see if it might be an issue with my c/p. but everything works great and no issues reading or writing, using a factory cable and slow 486/25 laptop pure DOS 6.22. the radio works fine nothing funny. the RSS just won't take 118.8 in any form, scrolling through the tones in the menu in RSS skips right over 118.8...

Hi,
The problem is that you have a DPL greater than 516 in it - which makes 118.8 unavailable.. no, I don't know why that gem got put in, but it's for real!

thanks RKG and Hartley, that was the issue. I ended up dropping that DPL and sure enough, the 118.8Hz was available for use. Weird, but no biggie
