Help, carrier rise time on CDM

Post by Vercomm »

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows what the carrier rise time is on a VHF CDM750 & CDM1250. I imagine their the same. Basically I will be injecting AFSK into pin 5 and what to know how long the PTT needs to be keyed before I actually send the audio.

Thanks,

Jamie

Well, the minimum programmable time for pre-PTT MDC signalling is 25ms, so I'd say that would be a safe bet to try.

Thanks Todd,

The GPS guy is telling me that they usually use 100ms. So i'll try that and see what happens.

Thanks,

You shouldn't have any issues with that.
