HT750 CPS problem - Did this guy get boned on ebay?

Post by spock7230 »

So a fellow member of my fire department recently won an HT750 on ebay.

According to what I can decipher from the regular pagers here, AAH25RDC9AA3AN is supposed to be a 16-channel, 403-470 MHz portable. He didn't have 16 channels to fill everything, so I padded the empty personalities with his primary channel.

So, I wrote the radio, no problems. Until I began spinning the channel selection knob and I started getting the "unassigned" tone starting at channel 5. Looking at the "Assignment to Zone" screen, there's only 4 slots, and I can't add any more.

Did the guy who got the radio get screwed somehow and wound up with a 4-channel model despite the "3AN?"

You don't need to pad the Conventional personalities, just add the primary channel in your Conventional Personality to all the unused channels in the Personality Assignment Zone.

You should be able to right click under the last tab in the personality assignment zone and add at end and continue doing this until all 16 slots are filled.

you can't always go by what the sticker says on the radio, read the radio and see what the actual model number is under the radio info tab. if that is the real model number then do what was mentioned earlier to add more personalities to the zone

The fact that you were able to configure all 16 channels in the 'Conventional Personality" section means that you indeed have the right radio. All you need to do now is assign those personalities to specific channels in the "Personality Assignment to Zone". Double Click on "Per Asgnmnt 1", then click the 'Channel' tab at the top. You now need to assign the personalities to channels. If you only see 4 then right click on the blank area and select "add to end", do this until you see all 16 channels. If you need to 'pad' channels this is where you would do it, you would just assign personality 1 to all channels that are not used.

Hope this helps. PM me if you need any further assistance.
