Emergency Help on HT1250

Post by cfdeng3 »

I have a bunch of HT1250's (FF portables) that when I push the emergency button show they are sending the emergency but the CDM1550 at dispatch is not decoding it....but on the CDM's mobiles in the trucks if I hit the emergency button the CDM at dispatch displays the emergency decode.

I am lost. I have programmed these radios for years and I must be overlooking something on one end or the other.

Thats a good point...I left before i tried it.

They hired a radio shop to come in and do their radios. That didn't work so good! The dispatch radios were not set to decode! The mobiles all were set to transmit 1111 as the emergency ID. This had been like this for a long time. i am now trying to find what this shop did. Unfortunately this emergency thing slowed me down

It is a weird one. What is the firmware version of your portables, out of curiosity.

It says unknown because you're reading a codeplug. You have to read a radio directly (or get it through the keypad menu if it's enabled in the radio).

firmware R04.00.00

Also i just programmed in my local mut aid center and tested the emergency with them and it did not work.

So its definately the portable. Now when I hit the emergency button it says emergency and the red light goes on but nothing happens.

well, were getting somewhere! I have not really played with this since we don't use this system here. Can you read it from another portable?

In the cps, is there a particular chnnel you need to select that it will transmit the emergency on?

So when you clone a different codeplug into their radios, the emergency MDC works? I don't see any settings in the CPS you'd need to set other than the same ones you'd need to set regular PTT ID...which although you haven't said it, I assume works fine? I'm assuming you've configured the emergency tab under the signaling configuration to 'standard'.

Are you sure you've set the button to "emergency on", and not "emergency siren on"?
