HT1250 TX Audio problem

Post by NSPD »

I have a VHF HT1250 here that is not passing any transmit audio. I have an MDC system set up and from listening to another radio, the MDC databurst passes, and then the audio is more of a constant screech, and no mic audio is being passed.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Was the unit recased recently? The wire to the microphone is very delicate and can be damaged very easily if not handled correctly. If you have access to a remote speaker mic I would try to see if you can transmit voice through that.

Apparently the mic in the radio is bad, as it's not passing any audio. I hooked up a Public Safety mic to the radio and it passed the audio, but there is still a screeching noise in the background on my TX audio on all channels.

Unfortunately I don't have another housing and flex to test with.
