C100 Local Remote Full Duplex
Anybody ever made a L1661A do full duplex when the handset is on the remote? We have full duplex through the earpiece but not when the handset is on hook. This is interfaced to a Kenwood TK-840 and used on an LTR system - looking to get the talk permit tone when the handset is on hook.
It works in half-duplex while in handsfree by design...same as any handsfree device. Otherwise, you end up with a howling feedback squeal. Not hearing the talk permit tone while in handsfree is basically something you have to learn to live with.
Not to say you couldn't make it work...you'd have to find a way to delay the speaker muting circuitry...but it's not a 'factory' option that I'm aware of.

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

We have done this with a CPI Local remote on our Passport system with no feed back or howl via the dip switch settings on the back. Seems the C100 remote only has full duplex on the handset no matter how you set the jumpers / solder bridges.
If it can't be done then no big deal, was just hoping a fellow member had found a work around.
