I have a uhf consolette and really want a 800 version. I do have an extra 800 radio and was wondering if I could just swap the radios. My 800 radio has a systems 9000e control head so I was thinking that maybe I will have to use the bit banger method to tell it to use an a7 head, but I'm unsure if any other mods would be required.
What do you guys think? Is it a lost cause or do you think maybe its possible?
