I am setting up 2 VHF commercial repeaters. I have narrowed down to Kenwood TK750 or Motorola GR1225.
They will be in a low rf environment, no other rf equipment .
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

is the 45 watt output that the 1225 will do enuf? if so you should be ok. i'd worry more about the antennae and it's placement, feed, and duplexer more than anything, the higher the better.

More bang out of the box with the kenwood than the GR. Its a great repeater and does everything under the sun out of the box.

Thanks for the feedback. I am hearing more favorable comments on Kenwood than Motorola. I have had a few GR's and notice that the best I can get the sensitivity is .35 uV and this is bypassing the duplexor.
I wish I could remember what the sense was on our 850. I want to say it was in the .2_uv ranger with the duplexer and no desense.
