CP200 QCII Help

Post by Vercomm »

Hi Guys,

This may be a simple answer but I just haven't had the time to really investigate it. We have a zetron dispatch console and we want it to generate QCII tones in the A-B format. The radios we are usig are CP200's.

My questions are:

How long should Tone A generate?

How long should Tone B generate?

Should there be any pause between A and B?

Thanks guys, your help ismuch appreciated!

The key is that the subscriber equipment and the dispatch equipment have to have the same format. That said, the "usual" format is 1 sec. tone A, 0 sec. gap, 3 sec. tone B, with Long B of 6 sec.

Thanks RKG, with any encoders I programm for two-tone I usually go 1100ms tone A, then 3015ms tone B. Just wanted to make sure that I was on the right track
