dead ht750

Got a ht750 will not power up using any battery. contacts appear to be good. Any general troubleshooting suggestions? The radio is pretty banged up but we have ones that have gone through worse damage.

anyone know how to remove the case?

Removing the case is a similar procedure to all other screwless Motorola radios.

Remove antenna & top knobs
Remove battery.
Using a case opening tool (or a flatblade screwdriver if you're daring), pry the radio out of the case from the bottom of the radio at the back. Be very gentle or you WILL break something. The radio should pop out of the case at the bottom and then slide out from the top. There is a flex cable connecting the speaker/mic assy to the radio.

There's also a gasket around the radios frame, so make sure you dont knick it or cut it if you choose to open it using a screwdriver.

Somewhere around here there's a primer on how to properly open an XTS portable... The procedure is pretty much the same.
