Saber PL Troubles

Post by chammerbeck »

I have a Saber III that has troubles with PL's. Analog and digital ones, both during receive AND transmitting. Sometimes it works fine other days it doesn't. I've reseated all the modules with no luck. Also put a very slight bend in the pins to get a better fit...still no luck. Everything else seems to work fine. Thoughts?

Don't bother swapping modules or reseating them. The PL and DPL are generated and decoded by the audio filter IC U101, Motorola P/N is 0105952N99. You might also replace C18 (P/N 2160521H41) and C19 (P/N 2362998B16). These are the PL and DPL filters.
