HT750 4to16 channels - codeplug needed!
So why is it that a HT750 4ch cannot do 16 channels? If the correct codeplug was put into it?
Are the model numbers the same between the 2/4/16ch models?
i have am able to edit a 16ch codeplug which is from the wrong band in hex edit and change the model number but the model number doesnt change in the CPS. any ideaS?
Im going to try and mess with it, anyone have a HT750 codeplug for model H25SDC9AA2????
THANKS!

I'm not too sure about editing the codeplug, but there is a difference as for as the model number goes. For example AAH25RDC9AA3AN is a 16 channel low split UHF radio.
Even if you were to successfully edit the codeplug, I'm not sure if the radio would take it, seeing as how it's a different model. I don't know if you can "force" it in like you can with MTS' XTS' etc.
It would probably be easier to sell/trade the one you have now and buy a real 16 channel radio. But if you like to tinker, than experiment away!

I dont have lab software unfortunalty, so the 3 designates 16 channels?
I have the 2 im guessing which means 4 channels!
I know that when i needed a codeplug for ht1000's i could hex edit the codeplug and change the model number thus changing features in the codeplug.
Reason i dont want to but is because i havt 8 of these radios and if i can switch them all over that would be awesome!

The Jedi series is totally different than the Waris series in most respects, especially with doing mods to the radios. The easiest way is cloning in a new codeplug with a "Y" cable, a method which has been discussed here lots of times.
The other way is to flash upgrade them with lab firmware and codeplugs, for which you will need the HLN9742 flash adapter and the OEM Service/Programming cable.
