Gm300 UHF to Maxtrac 800 Trunked Bi-directional Question

Okay folks Ive picked up a bi-directional cable off ebay to hook the
UHF Gm300 to a Maxtrac 800 so I can like a UHF freq with an SMR
Talkgroup. The UHF will pass traffic to the 800MHZ talkgroup but I
cant get the Maxtrac to pass the UHF traffic. The only Output option
I can set pin 8 for is Null. Does anyone have any suggestions?
