Centracom II+ and MR200N Problem

Post by wb4bli »

Ok, I bought me a use MR200N and can't seem to get it working. It appears everything is wired correctly. I am just wondering if my console is not set to 2175Hz. I have 3 tone channels on the console. Can anyone tell me the dip switch settings for 2175 so I can see if this is correct?

Do you get receive audio? I have an MR200n and cannot get my CCII+ to transmit on it either.

Centracom II+ and MR200N Problem

Yes I can get the audio from the radio to the console through the MR200n. I borrowed an actual tone remote from someone and it is a GE remote. It will actually key the PTT on the MR200n, but the Centracom will not.

I'm experiencing this same problem, and I've confirmed it's not the centracom as I can key other tone remote stations with the same BIM, but not the MR200n.

Not sure of the answer on this one.

There is some information about how to analyze tone remote keying problems in this thread:

maybe the Jumpers are set for a different guard tone.

MR200N

Post by wb4bli »

I figured mine out. May or may not help, but my CCII+ is set for 2-wire. I was setting mine for 4-wire. It would almost work except when I hooked it up for 4-wire it would kill the tx audio from the console and thefore not making it to the MR200N. Make sure you have the jumpers configured for which ever you are using. Make sure that J2 is set for AGC and that should do it unless the CCII is not set for 2175.
