Min 4 Question

Post by dbfd588 »

Ok guys. I had a Minitor 4 VHF non SV. It worked great for me. But I decided to sell it. So the dude I sold it to gets it and says that upon power up he gets a loud fuzzy interference sound. He sais its similiar to ignition interference. He let his radio guy look at it. The radio guy said he couldn't get it to receive right and that it would be $100 to fix it. What could be wrong with it?

FYI, the min 4 pager is a sealed unit, for depot repair only. The big M would not sell us any parts. That being said i'm pretty sure depot repair is about $80 bucks.

The Minitor III and IV are both pieces of garbage. If it is broken, then it needs to go to the depot. Doesn't really matter what is wrong with it.

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"
