pretty much! the sql. stays open till you fine tune it. ( even on some Alinco's ie: 586 HT)

PS I'll take a motorola 1250, but it all depends on what I would need it for.

I don't think you're going to find much help here for any ICOM equipment since this is a board for Motorola stuff. Your authorized ICOM dealer can probably help you more than any of us can.

Note what it says on the main Batlabs page:
NOTE: We only have information on Motorola Radios, NO Vertex, Kenwood, Standard, GE, etc. It is hard enough keeping tabs on and collecting info on them, let alone any other manufacturer. WE HAVE NO LINKS TO SITES LIKE THIS FOR OTHER MANUFACTURERS, you'll have to find them on your own, sorry.
Note that I'm not trying to chase you away or anything. I'm just telling it like it is.

Good luck.

Every now & then will get a question or comment about another brand. So if the topic does not get locked, maybe some of us can help.
I did not search for an Icom message board, I guess there is one?
But I would like to see what others think of the Motorola HT1250 compared to the Icom IC F3061 ...the Icom model does fall into the public service bands, ect.....

Icom, like Kenwoods are all unable to open the squelch or activate any control without initial programming.

I have several Kenwoods on the bench right now and the display simply shows: UNPROGRAM...Not a single control operates until it has channel data loaded.

Without channel data, and their associated frequencies, the radio has nothing to 'work with' and the receiver is essentially locked up in other words.

Good luck with your Icom!
