Post by bulletproof-791 »

ok folks here is my "problem"

This radio started out as a GP1280 (Euro HT1550), that was reflashed to be a GP380. 255 Channels Continous Rotary...14-Character Display
Select-V Signalling

i got this radio from a fellow batlab member

http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... ight=gp380

the problem i am having is when the radio is sitting around with nothing around it..it RX VERY WELL .. when i touch the antenna during a ch. that is Rx'ing i loose the traffic or when the radio is on my duty belt i dont hear any traffic but as soon as i put the radio out in to the open it works fine.......does anyone have any idea what to do???

Give it a rest James. I'm working with Scott to correct whatever problem he's having be it an antenna issue or anything else.

Start the tuner and look at the frontend settings. It looks like the original tuning data was not programmed into the radio.
Try to adjust the frontend with a low power transmitter and check the reference frequency.

Grog / NSPD:

Obviously you both know this belongs in the Feedback Forum, not here.

Let's please keep this thread to the topic at hand.

Like I said, i'm sending my RIB and Cables to you so that you can tune it a bit better to correct the problem. I'll walk you through the process as well over the phone.
