Spectra L53ZXM...high or low power programming cable needed?

Post by Elroy Jetson »

I'm not familiar with Spectras other than the 110 watt A9/W9 chassis.

So, I do have a high power programming cable.

I've got a VHF Spectra consolette to program, model L53ZXM5174AM.

Will this take the high power programming cable or am I going to have to get a low power programming cable for it? (In which case I'll be looking to buy one.)

And...which port on the radio is the programming port?

Again, I have no previous Spectra experience other than with the A9/W9 chassis.

Thanks for any help.

The Spectra chassis (in the Consolette) can be programmed thru the 15 pin ACCY connector on the back of the radio chassis.

Same cable as the Lo and Mid power Spectras. 15 pin male DB type plug.

connector is a DA15P (not DB). D is the series, A/B/C/D/E are the connector shell sizes.
