My book only gives 4 alarms that generate beeps but if you have more than 1 alarm it will give both with a gap in between. Like 3 beeps then 4 beeps. Any error indication on the front LED?

I think it might mean high SWR. my bird is showing a 2:1 right now. the beeps dont start for about 1 minute on a cold startup. My bigger problem is that the auto IDer stopped IDing....

not sure what it could be. i'm going crazy here.

feel free to give me a ring at: 954-410-2478

i need all the help i can get right about now.

Eric,
There are eight different audio alarms which are generated every 10 seconds. If it is a multiple failure they will be sent one after the other with a 2 second delay between alarms.
Here's a quick break down:
1 = Battery Revert Alarm
2 = PA alarm
3 = Synthesizer alarm
4 = Overvoltage alarm (with reference to battery backup)
5 = TSTAT alarm
6 = Reflected swr alarm
7 = Forward power alarm
8 = Redundant station alarm
I'm not sure what to say about your cw id. Try loading your working archive. It might not fix your problem but it wont hurt it as well. I've had some things scramble themselves and re-writing the archive brought it back
May the Schwarz be with you.

My two bits worth:
The CW ID will not be sent if the R1 squelch is running open.
Connect the test set, if the squelch opens when the "PL" disable switch is operated in indicates this is the problem.
The "ACC DIS" switch enables the front panel squelch control, in normal position the EEPOT is in control.
Use the RSS to set the R1 Squelch EEPOT.
There is also a method using the switches, which is covered in the manual.

This can also cause an error code.
Also, be sure the intercom switch is not in the up position.
Aloha, Bernie
