UHF Spectra Receiver Sensitivity

Post by offroad21 »

What receiver specs and I expect from a UHF range 3 radio...non preamp. Getting .35 micro volts to break squelch. Is this about normal?
Thanks

I'm not sure what to expect, but .35mv seems a tad bit high.

Check your squelch settings, also using squelch break is not an accurate way to test sensitivity. A sinadder hooked to the audio output is much more accurate.

The specs for a R3 UHF (non pre amp) receiver is .5uV for 20 Db quieting, .35 uV for squelch break. or 10 db sinad.

They usally are .4 for 20 DB Q and break squelch at .25 or less.
