Zetron 37 Max with CDM series Radios

hey guys i need some help with repeater project i have going.


here is the situation i have a low band 49.300 rx cdm1250 radio and a cdm 750 44.060 tx radio. i am basically trying to make a repeater out of these two radios with a Zetron 37 max controler. the problem i am having is i cant pass any audio through the system the reciver radio recives and the transmit radio transmits fine. this system keys up and i can here the tail. just no audio acros it. i have injected a tone to the rx radio and i am seeing it on the discriminatior audio input pin going into the zetron. when i inject the audio in to the system it dosent key the tx radio so i am unable to tell if the audio is getting throug the the controler.

any help is welcome.

Sounds like you haven't got something wired right.

Do you see the audio on the transmit side going into the transmitter?

I suggest a careful review of your wiring.

that is waht i thought too when i first took over this project. so i had already double checked that. i talked to a tech at zetron today and he told me that i can program the controler to tx a 1200 hz tone to test for audio out of the controler. i am waiting on a dtmf mic to get here so i can try that next.

you were right. i re doubblechecked the wiring on the pins and found a ground and the tx audio pins crossed. straightend them out and it works like a champ. sorry for the trouble

Sure thing KT. We all make mistakes like that... Sometimes it takes someone else checking it over to find them.
