Charging saber battery with "non-standard" charger?

Post by Bamse »

Hello all!

I just got myself a Saber I and are facing the dilemma that I got the radio, but the charger is still on it's way over here. I will need to charge the battery before using it on Thursday, and the only charger I got is this one; http://www.batterieswholesale.com/batte ... harger.htm
It's quite crucial that I get the radio working before I leave and I know the charger can handle the NiMH-cells in the Saber battery ... but can I just attach the charger to the + and - to the top connectors meant for the radio to be able to charge, or do I need to use the terminals on the back of the battery?

This is a very one-time thing of course .. the NTN4734A is on it's way as earlier stated ;)

Very grateful for replies!

I think it should work fine, probably better than the motorola charger. The battery analyzer cup for the saber also charges through the radio contact terminals on top, so you should be fine using those.
