Minitor 2 On/off duty

Post by fire32njetta »

Now from what ive read this will disable the C tone in a minitor 2 if set. Is there a way to make this on/off duty feature user switchable for the Min2. Im trying to look at some lower cost options for minitor 5's for my squad. We are in desperate need of pagers and im setting up a 2nd crew tone and need this feature.

Not sure what you mean by "disable the C tone" - on duty/off duty means that, when off duty, the pager will ignore anything that includes tone C. We have one channel Minitor II pagers setup with the on duty/off duty option as follows:

"Bell" - either A-B, A-C, Long B or Long C activates the pager, it is quiet otherwise
"1" - either A-B, A-C, Long B or Long C activates the pager, it monitors the channel otherwise
"2" - only A-B or Long B activates the pager, it is quiet otherwise

We actually only use A-C (first crew out - their pagers will activate in Bell or 1) or A-C (second crew out - pager activates in any switch position).

So, on a 2 channel minitor, can you install the reeds in that manner anyway, and have either tone set off the pager on bell or 1 (and obviously 2 is the second channel)?
I flatulate P25.
