pin out for power cord on motorola alert monitor

Post by RidgeRunner »

Anyone have a pin out for the 4 pin power cord on a alert monitor? I do not have a power cord and would like to power a few I have up for testing. I have already read the info on the batlabs site and there is no mention of it there.

Thanks
Robert

Assuming the pins are numbered, pins 2-3 AC Power or for DC, pin1 +12VDC and pin 4 ground. DC is fused with a 1 amp slow-blow fuse.

According to the schematic, on the socket, pin 1 is the gray wire, pin 2 is red, pin 3 black, and pin 4 black.

Good luck, all the old ones I've tried to revive had horrible audio.

Thank you that did the trick! That is odd that you had bad audio, I have fix up plectrons in the past and the audio quality is outstanding. These two alert monitors sound great too and other people I have talked to have never had problems. They are pretty simple to work on too!

Hey Guys please help me out,

I have the old Motorola Alert Monitor we used to use them in the PD cars in Teaneck, Just happen to find one its the ones with the silver front black case has switches for SEL CALL and RESET and one more for PL on or OFF . I am trying to get power to this thing but can not find any information on the 4 pins which goes to what as far as power and ground, If I can bring this thing back to life I plan on going back into PD stock pile and getting them back at the dispatch position.

Thanks in advance
