SM50/120 UHF ponderings

Howdy all, has anyone tried taking the SM50/120 UHF radio down around 420 Mhz,
I've taken mine down to 440Mhz without any problems, just wondering how
broadbanded these little radios are.

also does anyone know the pinout of the programming cable for the XLT 1500 series
radio or a source of a cable either factory or aftermarket.
