Corrupting MCS2000 Code plugs, what am I doing wrong

Post by 3rdID »

I keep frying MCS2000 code plugs, when writing to the radio the power will flash off and thats it, I can extract from the radio but when writing back to it if it blinks, I know it's shot. What are the usual things that cause this. I am using the latest CPS and and a PA-2 Rib. I need more depot shiping boxes!

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

if this is happening multiple times with multiple radios it's not the radios, it's something with your setup, the cable, rib, your computer. if it only happened once it would be possible that it's your radio but multiple radios won't have that same problem. have you tried borrowing a different cable or rib?

Try a real Motorola rib and cable and see if that cures the problem.
