Hello - need advice on how to enable a A9 Spectra for external radio.
A button has been assigned on the A9 control-head and the spkr A/B has been enabled.
Thanks
Bill

External Radio?
if its dual head capable then just add the second head and there should be a "remote" button on the main head, oh and you have to enable the second head in RSS also..
the Speaker A/B button will switch the front speaker to a rear speaker if you have the proper relay installed in the speaker line. Not sure what the part number of this is.
I am sure a more spectra savy batlabber and add to this though...

Did you check the VIP assigned to the A/B function?toyradios wrote:Hello - need advice on how to enable a A9 Spectra for external radio.

The VIP output can kick in a relay to transfer the radio's speaker output to a second speaker.

I also have to add, there is a siren amp attached to this radio. I was under the impression that when the A/B spkr is enabled all you would need is assign a button on the A9 control-head to turn the INT/EXT speaker on/off.
Will - are you saying the INT/EXT speaker feature needs to be tied into the VIP port?
Thanks
Bill
Re: A9 Spectra external Radio
When the Siren box is used, the selection becomes EXT RAD, external radio. The siren amp routes the RX audio from the Spectra to the siren speaker. The Spectra speaker is still operational and is independant of the EXT RAD. The VOL controls either EXT RAD or the normal speaker.
Speaker A/B is used without the siren amp box.
