UHF HT-440 Alignment Instructions

Post by kc0cdg »

I'm looking for the alignment instructions for a UHF HT-440 radio. I'm looking to add a set of crystals to this thing need to know where to put the 4th channel crystals and then what to tune up in the radio. Pictures/diagrams would be great. Thanks for any help in advance.

Here is a link to a UHF HT90 service manual on Ebay. As you probably know, the HT90 series is identical to the HT440 series internally with all the same part numbers etc. The only difference was the color of the radio cases and , of course, the model numbers. This manual will give you everything you need from instructions to schematics etc.

If that's the case then someone should get after Motorola for lying about the HT90 having the exact same intrinsically safe capabilities as the HT440 as is the case in the original factory sales brochure for the HT90 series I have in my possesion. It only had to be ordered with the factory Mutual approval option numbers (H753) or (H758). Guess what the option numbers for the HT440 were!
