CDM 1250 and Tone remote

Post by KB1ETR »

I have a CDM 1250 hooked up to a tone remote interface and a MC2000 control. My question is there a way to make a scan button on the remote to be able to turn it on and off?

Basicly
I would like to scan the other freqs I have programed into the radio and have the option to turn it off, I do not need to know the freq that scan is on.I just want to hear the trafic.

While you might be able to jury rig something using the "HUB suspends scan" function, I have found that the easiest (and least confusing to the user) way to get scanning on a tone remote is to create a channel on the radio with "Auto Scan" enabled, and then assign a Channel Steering button to call it up as needed.

"HUB suspends scan" function can that be accessed via the 16 pin acc jack on the back? Then have a relay on the tone remote interface go high or low state, Program a button on the remote to switch it on or off.
