Does anyone know what version of CPS I need to program a CP200?

Depends on the firmware of the radio.

Having the most recent CPS (I believe its R05.05) should ensure backwards compatibility, but the older versions definitely will not work with the current firmware revisions.

R05.06 is actually the latest version out.

I have a PR-400 and I am trying to reprogram it. I have the CPS Verison 5 and it starts to read the codeplug and when it gets to 25% it stops and says there is a codeplug error. Is there a newer version of the software? How do I go by getting it? Any help will do.

As stated by escomm in the above post, version R05.06 (RVN4191KR) with Global Tuner version R02.13 is the latest CPS. With radios continuing to have minor firmware updates, you will eventually be left on the "radio not supported" roadside using older versions.
