Hello,
I have a question reagarding the scan function of the HT1250. When I choose "selected" in the RSS that means that
I scan all channels of my scan list but when I PTT I will always talk on my selected channel, or?
But when I try this I get the following behaviour.
Channel 1 selected an scan functionality active:
1. Receiving transmitting channel 2
2. PTT directly pushed after that and my portable is transmitting on channel 2 ????
3. Wait a couple of seconds an the portable jumps back to channel 1
4. Then I PTT and the portable transmitts as expected on channel 1
Could anyone explain this behavior to me or was my programming wrong?
Thanks

Re: HT1250 scan function "selected"
From memory, selecting "talkback" in the CPS will allow you to transmit on the channel that the radio lands on during scan (until after the preset hang time). If you don't want the radio to transmit on channel 2 as you described when the scan lands on that channel, just uncheck the "talkback" feature.
Setting "selected" as your Designated Tx Channel will cause the radio to transmit on whatever chanel you select, regardless of scan being on or off.
So if you set it as described above without talkback, you will receive traffic on any channel the radio scans, but you will always transmit only on the channel you selected with the knob.
Hope this helps

Re: HT1250 scan function "selected"
Just to be clear, are you talking about choosing "Selected" in the Scan List, or under the "TX Configuration" tab? They perform two very different functions.
Amateurs train until they can do it right. Professionals train until they cannot do it wrong.

Re: HT1250 scan function "selected"
The "selected" you refer to from the scanlist options means that whatever channel is selected will be included in the scanlist, in addition to the other fixed entries.
Re: HT1250 scan function "selected"
Thanks for your answers the "Talkback" function was the right hint. I tested it again and everything work as expected when I uncheck the talkback feature.
