Hi, I'm having a problem getting my CDM1550 to transmit on the repeater and the PL tone (I'm transmitting on the frequency but not the PL tone.) I have no idea what is wrong. I've checked and rechecked the codeplug. Is there something, obvious or not, that I am missing? I'm using the Motorola Prefessional Series CPS firmware version R06.05.00 software. Any help would be gretly appreciated. I can e-mail you the codeplug if necessary.
Thanks

Re: Issues with my CDM1550 UHF
A couple of questions.
1. How do you know your not transmitting the PL tone? Have you looked at the TX with a service
monitor? Or are you saying that it just doesn't open up the distant end receiver?
2. Are you sure that you have the correct PL tone for the repeater your trying to use?
3. Is the level of the PL tone at the required level.
4. This might sound stupid, but are you sure that your TX frequency is the repeater input and
that your not transmitting on the output instead. If this is a UHF repeater, the frequency you
should be on is 5 MHz higher than the repeater output. Like if you hear the repeater on 462.100,
then your TX should be 467.100.
Hope this gives you something to look at.
