GMRS Duplexer insertion loss
I recall reading at one time that if you tuned a duplexer for one of the center GMRS freq's, you could use it for all 8 of the freq's as there was about a 200Khz "window" around any given freq it was tuned to. A.I.R. the late Monty also chimed in on this agreeing on the point. What I didn't find at that time was any mention at how much more insertion loss in dB there would be on the freq's on the edge versus the center tuned freq. I have a Notch type duplexer I am about to have done. I am planning to use one of the edge freq's,but, I would go for the center tune if the loss wasn't too bad so I could have the flexability of switching freq's if I needed to. Has anyone tried this center tune deal and checked for what the outside freq loss was? Thanks in advance

Re: GMRS Duplexer insertion loss
On a notch duplexer 200khz will not present any change in passband loss but the rejection will change a little. Should not be a problem with most repeaters.
