HT1250 LS+ into A HT1250

Post by dispatcher7586 »

Hello,

Is there a was you can turn a HT1250 LS+ into a HT1250.

I heard some people talking about reflashing the radio and forcing a codeplug to it.
Does this work and how is it dont?

Can this be done with the cps/rss and tuning software and a ribless cable?
IDK?

This is NOT done in the CPS. If the ribless cable has the boot control switch (the switch that allows the radio to bootstrap for flashing), it can be flashed. The talk you refer to has to do with the inoffical homemade US Waris Labtool.

And I might add, it is rather simple to do this, basically flash the radio with an HT1250 firmware (128k for an AA or 256k for OOC [someone correct me if I'm wrong]), blow in a codeplug, set the region, and reload your saved tuning data (you DID save your tuning data I hope).
