CDM1250/HT1550 appear dead??

Post by Woody_99 »

OK, questions on the mentioned radios....

CDM1250 started 'locking up' in the display and operations occasionally..
removing power would sometimes reset it to work again but the problem continued until now
it simply won't load up. Lights come one, radio appears to have power but nothing in the display and it
doesn't self-test and load up the firmware for use. Guessing firmware upgrade needed? It's probably
an older version but no way to tell now.

HT1550.. appears dead except that the top green light will blink once when switched on, but no beep, audio or
self-testing...
problem reported as "just stopped working" from an individual seems to have that same problem a lot....
I'm betting water damage, any ideas?

thanks!

HT1550's don't self-test. Sounds like that one is inhibited.
