GP380 Programming Issue (Speaker not sounding)

Post by JamesGP380 »

Hi

I've got a problem programming a GP380. I program the information in to the radio and I can transmit out but the incoming transmissions aren't being heard through the radio speaker. The red LED however, is flashing to tell me that the transmission is being received by the radio. So, why isn't it being heard through the speakers? By the way, the volume dial is turned up! Also, when the radio is turned on I get the "Power Up" high pitch sound so I know there is no fault with the speaker.

Can anyone please help, the problems driving me nuts?

Thanks in advance.

Check the tone squelch settings in the CPS.

Hi

Yeah I realised after I posted the message I didn't put the correct CTCSS settings in to the radio. As soon as I did I got the replies through the speaker. Problem solved.

Thanks.
