OT: GE Delta Key? Which number, got one, etc?

Post by kb0nly »

Ok i know i know, its off topic for Moto, but i know a lot of the members here venture to the dark side. I got a stack of GE Delt's to go look at, need to find a key to get them open. Anyone have one, or know what key i need? Info to have a place cut one, etc?

Thanks!

The key is a GE004. It is an odd little critter, shaped like the letter "P" about 1 1/8" long by 1/2" at the head. I don't know where you would ever find a blank to make one.

Scott, surely there's a GE dealer local to you? I'm sure they would be willing to sell/give you a key. I've got a key here, but only one. If I had a spare, I'd be happy to send it to you. If all else fails, I'll see if I can get a copy made and send it to you, for the price of the copy and shipping.

An old Progress Line LL201 key will also function fine in that lock. Not that you are any more likely to find one of those. You might join the Yahoo GE list and post a message there, someone may have one they don't need. I have extra BF-10A's but not the Delta keys...

The "nose" of a BF10A is virtually the same cut as a Delta key. If you insert the BF10A in part-way, it will work 99 percent of the time...
