motorola CPS ver R 03.00.01 or R 03.03.01

I got the motorola cps R 03.00.01 or R 03.03.01 (older). I was wondering will this work on the professional radios still. Can I have more details about this cps.

alot of cps has that revision numbers, they start out around 1.00.01 and go up from there. what radio are you trying to program? what is the RVN number on the front of your disc, that will tell you all you need to know about the cps?

not to mention CPS for pros is on release 6 so it depends on what the radios were programmed with

Im trying to program a ht1250.


When i open the software it takes to the main menu.


Then when I try to read a archive codeplug its says something like

Image block.........BLKID 39...................................isnt blocked Layout

What is a pro radio? Is a pro radio cover a HT1250, HT750 ........

a 1250 is in the pro category. your cps is about 5 years out of date and is your problem, recent revision is over 6.07.00 if i'm not mistaken. the radios have been programmed with newer cps and now need new from now on. call motorola and get yourself a new version and you should be good to go.

Update:

It now reads certain codeplugs. It will read ht750 and some other ht radio (LS+ kind). I think that message was because the other codeplugs were newer. I have not written to the radios yet.

When I press write radio it says check the cables (RIB/what ever). Does this mean it will write?

Also if I try to write my radio with my R03.00.01 and it was programmed with R04.00.00 what will happen?

Can I take a older code plug and write it to my radio so i can work on R03.00.01?

I have the exact same issue. I'm almost sure its because it was programmed with a newer CPS.
