Question about MotoTRBO

I was wondering if anyone knows the answers to the following MotoTRBO questions. Any help would be appreciated.
1) If I am currently on an analog channel, can a MotoTRBO radio still transmit and/or receive text messages or location information on a digital channel?
2) Can 2 radios send and receive text messages and/or location information when in simplex mode (not connected to a repeater)?

not quite sure what you mean by that. If you are scanning between analog and digital, it can recieve the message. You need to be on a digital channel to send a message
