Motorola Radius M214/216

Post by cduda »

Have 3 Radius M216 mobiles which keep booting to channel 16. When radio is put on channel 1 and and radio and power shut down, after at least 30 mins, turn back on, still on channel 1. But overnight, turn on, goes to 16. Dont see anywhere in the software to set anything to boot to a certain channel like in the PM400 style radios. Any ideas?

Thanks

As I recall, that is the way those things worked unless you use ignition control.

correct, put the battery lead hot, then install an ignition lead.

Assuming that you have a logic board with battery backup under the NOVRAM U805 and you don't want to check/replace(if it's even available now) another way around your problem is to use the RSS to give personality 16 an ID of 1, and also change personality 2 from the default of ID 2 to 3, etc.
