Is Emergency enabled in any of the signalling systems? Is the Emergency jumper in the accessory connector?

I had several of the XTL5000's come through with the pins bent or not in place for the emergency jumper. Check the accessory connector as the last post stated.....

I found the problem. I had connected a 26-pin data cable (HKN6160A) to the radio (05 head) will live & it went into emergancy, I cleared the emergancy but for some reason every power up it would still emergancy. during further troubleshooting I found that if power was completely removed from the radio & head for 10sec the problem went away?

Any ideas on this, why connecting this cable sent it into emergancy & why it doesnt clear?

Thanks
