Stupid Lab question

Post by TWL911 »

I have a VHF XTS3000,
I want to make a "hard copy" of the S-record onto a 3.5 floppy.
I have access to the software required, but apparently don't know how to use such RSS.

What do I do, step by step, to make a back up copy of my codeplug, and s-record onto a floppy.

I can get it to read with no pack/unpack, but then the only options are F2 read, or F8 Write to radio

I've been using regular, non-gray market RSS for years with no problems.

PLEASE HELP I have a project I need to accomplish

emails are fine if you'd rather not discuss this here

To read s-rec
F3
F4
F2
F10 (exit)
F6
Type in name (i.e. uhf3K.s)
F8
F4
Done reading and archiving your s-rec

To write s-rec
F3
F6
Type in name of desired s-rec (i.e. uhf3K.s)
F4
F10 (exit)
F4
F8
Done writing s-rec

I'd backup and write your archive to a CD-r or DVD-r. Floppies go bad after time, CD/DVD will last much longer.

Good luck 8)

Great, that works. NOW can I use MTSX lab ver. 2.01 to force my CPs or do I need to find version 3.02 ?
