SVA display mics
Is there any real difference between the Saber and Systems Saber display mic for the SVA?

Re: SVA display mics
The lettering on the Systems Saber mic keypad matches the radio itself. But you can use a regular Saber mic in conjunction with a Systems Saber in a SVA, if you can remember what all the button locations do.

OK, I didn't realize that the III and Systems III keypads were different. I'm pretty sure I can handle that small a problem, as I don't need many of the numeric keys' "second" functions. Thanks!

Re: SVA display mics
I once ordered a 6169 from John Panik for use with a
regular Saber in the 5487 SVA and IT DID NOT WORK.
I sent it back and he sent me a 6150 which worked
fine, so be careful.

Re: SVA display mics
Tom, I appreciate the word of caution. It's currently not a problem, as I have a "regular" display mic with mine, and my Saber fleet consists of a Saber II and a Systems Saber III. I'm running the Saber II right now, because I haven't yet been able to locate the software for the Systems Saber
.
